ABOUT Nippon Motors?????? WANT TO KNOW!

I WAS JUST LOOKING AT THE WEBSITE FOR NIPPON MOTORS, NOW FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN READING HERE ON THE MESS BORD THAT THE MOTORS SOME OF YOU GUY HAVE BEEN GETTING HAVE BEEN NASTY AND DIRTY, AND IN SOME CASES CRACKED COVERS, I WAS LOOKING AT THE SITE AND IT SAYS (Call us today for imported, low mileage, tested, and cleaned Japanese
used engines and transmissions!!!!) NOW YOU SEE THE CLEAN THING, I WASNN GET ONE BUT I WANN BE REAlY CARFUL ON WHAT I GET. DO YOU GUYS LIKE YOURS SO FAR? AND WHAT WAS THE MILES ON IT OR CAN YOU EVEN TELL?

My friend got a zc from nippon and it was dirty as hell. So before we swapped it we thouroughly cleaned it. It was in good mechanical condition but it burned a bit of oil. However, after a couple of oil changes it stopped burning oil. His only problem was that the spark plug tube seals disintegrated and oil flowed over the plugs. A simple fix. My ZC had the same problem and it was sparkling clean. So it is really hit and miss when it comes ro imported jdm motors. I have heard good things about nippon and they are reliable.

that's the damn truth. I dont think it really matters where you get it from...you're always taking a chance.

I'd personally go w/ soko for the more reasonable shipping charges...Nippon wanted to ream me on shipping...

Well my ZC that i just got was a little beat up. but nothing less than what i expected from a used engine. Personally i am very satified with what i got. And even if it has many miles on it, it doesnt matter cause im totally rebuilding it. I stuck tho, i cant get the crank pulley nut off..!?!?

lol, you still haveing probs with that damn nut?? keep trying it will come off one day. like i said, spray some of that bolt remover on it it might help it also might brake it to. how much did you get the motor for? and how long did you wait?
